A Life Well Lived
The homes, buildings and landscapes that Martin enjoys painting most all share a similar story of a life well lived.
Showing us the beauty in every structure he chooses or is commissioned to capture, Martin brings a deftness in his play with colour and light that is pure art, and an accuracy in his perspectives and forms that stems from his background in architectural design.

The view looking from the summit of Mt Victoria, Devonport to the detailed Downtown and Sky tower. All the villas and houses are beneath a watery, concrete coloured sky. This painting was exhibited at the Depot Artspace in 2020.

A very ornate and detailed building which has been unused for years but soon now up for redevelopment into appartments. The church stands next to the site where the St James Hall once stood, it burnt down 6 years ago.
